as i approach some time off

{this afternoon we leave dallas- woo hoo!}

being a bit type A

i am planning my relaxing and recharging

totally normal

right?

part of the scheduled relaxing, especially when i travel, is reading multiple books

also normal

unwinding for me = cozying up to a stack of books

here are my top 3 in rotation for our trip to the ranch

‘In this book, the Times and TASCHEN bring together

updated and new versions of “36 Hours” columns in 150 U.S. and Canadian locations,

from the great urban centers on everyone’s travel list

to surprising locales with undiscovered character and charm.’

i cannot wait

this book has gotten great reviews

readers are saying you will be hard pressed not to laugh out loud in public

i’ll let you know if i experience mouth covering chuckles

side note- mr.mouse on the cover makes me laugh just looking at him

i mean who doesn’t like animals in capes?

/  /  /

the story of a young girls journey of starting out at the new yorker and spending 2 decades working there

cataloging her experiences through it all

it’s this months’ selection for book club and i have a feeling it’s going to be a crowd pleaser

plus i initially read about it on a cup of jo and she can do no wrong in my book

or in this case…about a book
